About

After studying Arts Management at Bretton Hall, University of Leeds, Helen embarked on a career in theatre. Her career started in stage management, working in regional theatres such as the Theatre by the Lake, Keswick and New Vic Theatre, Staffordshire.

While working at the New Vic Theatre Helen took a secondment from her usual stage management role to produce their ambitious Hoard Festival. This, along with completing The Optimists course run by China Plate Theatre, ignited her passion for producing.

Since then Helen has worked as Producer/Project Manager for a diverse range of arts organisations including Appetite Stoke and Claybody Theatre. Working on projects ranging from site-specific theatre performances, to outdoor events including parades, to immersive performances in intimate spaces.

In 2021 Helen completed a MA in International Cultural Policy and Management at the University of Warwick. She is particularly interested in how organisations think about, and work with communities, in all their different guises.
