It has been a very exciting week, as well as ongoing work on the website and business development we have had a productive week meeting both new and old partners.
With confirmation that they have secured the necessary funding work started in earnest on Potboiler Theatre's new piece Devotion this week. It was great to meet up with the two Kats to hear more about the project and how I can help with it's realisation.
Following that we met with Clare from Restoke at the stunning Wedgewood Institute in Burslem. Having heard so much about Restoke's previous projects it was great to meet Clare properly, hear more about their plans for You Are Here and have a look around the splendid Wedgewood Institute. It also gave us a chance to chat all things childcare and the arts, which to a new mum trying to juggle the two is always welcome!
After a brief lunch stop with friend, colleague and other mum, Natalie at Westport Lake we went off to meet Deborah McAndrew of Claybody Theatre. Again, there is lots afoot for Claybody in the coming year and it was great to catch up on project progress and luckily the little one slept through the all important budget chat! It seems three meetings in two days was just a bit too much for him.
